The 2009/10 season has seen Robinson Buckley become a very proud sponsor of Guildford Heat Basketball. Guildford Heat is Surrey’s professional basketball team who play at the Guildford Spectrum, competing in Britain's top league, the British Basketball League (BBL). BBL Trophy Winners, Play-off Champions & Cup Winners' Cup Winner in the 2007/8 season and BBL Trophy Runners-up in 2008/9, the Heat are among the elite of basketball teams within the United Kingdom. The Heat Academy is the development division of Guildford Heat Basketball Club – This gives all their members the opportunity to progress through the ranks of junior teams to eventually become members of the Heat first team. The Academy includes a senior second team squad playing in Division 3 of the South-West National League and National League under 18 and 15 teams. In addition to providing thrilling entertainment while challenging for silverware, the players are involved in the following community projects: Hoops 4 Health Robinson Buckley director John Lanning, a huge fan of Guildford Heat, says “Having seen most home matches this season, I am tremendously impressed not only with the professionalism, commitment and athleticism of the players but also the huge contribution of the Heat staff and volunteers.
